Locked out of Administrator User in Windows XP?

This is a common problem that I've come across - people forgetting the password to their admin user on windows xp! It's really very simple to fix. Here's a quick and easy way to get back in!

1. Make sure you're completely logged out. Login to a different user.

Note: If there isn't another user to log into, then do the following: From the login screen press Ctrl+alt+delete twice. This will bring up a custom login screen. Now just type "Administrator" into the username and leave the password blank. You're now on an admin account! You can change the password of your other account. If this doesn't work, type "Guest" into the username and leave the password blank, this should work!

2. Press Windows Key + R to bring up Run. (Or go to start, then run).

3. Type "Cmd" into the run dialogue box and hit enter to open a command prompt.

4. Type in "Net users" and hit enter, this will show you all the users in your network.

5. Type "Net user
* " You'll then be prompted to enter a new password. Do so and hit enter. Done.
